This homeschool course begins with developing an understanding of the history between the First and Second Testaments and the culture of the ancient Near East, which is necessary to understand the culture of the gospels. Then it takes you verse by verse through the books of Luke, John, and Acts.
The goals of the course are, first, to give the student a deeper cultural and theological understanding of the Bible. The second is to help the student understand the narrative themes of these books and how they fit into the greater metanarratives of the Bible as one story of Yahweh’s redemption of humanity and creation.
It is not required, but I would recommend taking the First Testament Survey course first.
