Easy English—Bible This site contains Bible commentaries, Bible translations, Bible studies, and other materials that we have written in simple English
Desiring God—Many different resources from the ministry of John Piper.
Probe Ministries—This site seeks to integrate faith and learning through balanced, biblically based scholarship, training people to love God by renewing their minds and equipping the Church to engage the world for Christ.

Study Tools

Nave's Topical Bible—Allows you to search for scriptures verses in the Bible according to topic.
Smith's Bible Dictionary—An online Bible Dictionary.
The Catholic Encyclopedia—An encyclopedia that contains almost every theological and biblical concept as well as biblical and historical figures in Christianity.
Jewish Encyclopedia—This website contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906.
Bible Places—Features photographs and descriptions of sites in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and Greece with an emphasis on biblical archeology, geography and history.
Google Bible Maps—Enter any Bible passage, and the cities in the verse are highlighted and shown on the map. By clicking on the city name in the verse, a short description of the city or area from the International Standard Encyclopedia appears.

Ancient Writings

Apocrypha—Jewish writings between the time of the Old and New Testament. Though these are not scripture they are useful for understanding the Jewish history, culture and beliefs that were in place during the time of Jesus.
Pseudepigrapha—Jewish writings during the time of the Old Testament. These are more like mythology but do help one understand the culture and beliefs of the Jews.
Talmud—The Talmud is a record of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, customs, and history. It is a central text of mainstream Judaism.
Josephus—The writings of a Jew who lived during the revolt of 70 AD and wrote about the history of the Jews and about the war of 70 AD against the Romans. Very helpful for understanding the history of the Jews and their culture.
Philo—The writings of a Jewish philosopher. Very helpful for understanding Jewish beliefs and culture during the time of Jesus.
Perseus Digital Library—Many Greek and Roman writings that are helpful for understanding the world in which Jesus lived and ministered in.
Wesley Center—The writings of the early and influential theologians and writers in the Christian Church, particularly those of the first five centuries of Christian history.
Gnostic Writings—The writings of the second and third century Christian cult known as the Gnosticism.

Apologetics

Always Be Ready—Free notes and audio lessons by Charlie Campbell on the trustworthiness of the Bible and how to witness to different cult members.
CARM—A site that seeks to equip Christians with the truth to expose the error of false religious systems and to help Christians defend the faith.
Watchman Fellowship—This is an independent, nondenominational Christian research and apologetics ministry focusing on new religious movements, cults, the occult and the New Age.
Free Minds—A Site that exposes spiritual abuse from high control religious groups, particularly Jehovah's Witnesses, whatever their claims to higher authority may be.

World Missions

Voice of the Martyrs—A global perspective on the persecution of God's children.
Joshua Project—Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the least followers of Jesus Christ.

Christian News

American Center for Law and Justice—The ACLJ focuses on constitutional law and is based in Washington, D.C. The ACLJ is specifically dedicated to the ideal that religious freedom and freedom of speech are inalienable, God-given rights.
